Laura Linney is a celebrated American actress who has portrayed the most powerful but fragile characters. Her mother was an unmarried single mother who worked as a nurse. Her interest in theatre during the summer months that she spent with her father, who was famous. She was a student of acting in Brown University, and later at Juilliard School. Beginning her Broadway career shortly after graduation, she made her debut in film within two year after which she made her television debut the following year. In the years since, she's performed in many films as well as stage and TV productions. She has been awarded numerous prizes throughout her career. They include four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. But despite the many accolades, her love for theatre remains in her, and she continues to perform both onscreen and onstage.
